Only entities that have the status of market participants in the Republic of Croatia may participate in the auctions.
HOPS as buyer will conduct long-term procurement in 2024 (annually, quarterly, monthly ) for the delivery of electricity to cover losses in the transmission system through public bidding on the market platform of the Croatian Electricity Exchange (CROPEX) on the principle of transparency and equal treatment.
The criterion for selecting the most favorable bid is the lowest price that meets the conditions of the auction.
Auction documentation:
All interested are invited to submit a completed form Request for participation in auction in 2024 for delivery of electricity to cover losses in the transmission system, scanned copy of a filled form deliver by e-mail, also deliver the original to the address: Hrvatski operator prijenosnog sustava d.d., Kupska 4, 10000 Zagreb
The Auction is conducted in accordance with the General Rules for the implementation of the auction in 2024 for delivery of electricity to cover losses in the transmission system through the CROPEX trading platform,
Auction procedure:
- The request for participation must be received at HOPS no later than 12:00 two (2) working days before the implementation of each auction.
- Immediately upon receipt of the Request, HOPS will evaluate the validity of the request and notify the applitant without delay.
- Participants who submit a valid Application for participation with related documents can participate in all future auction that will be held in 2024
- Descriptions of the subject of procurement, technical and economic specifications and the date of the auction will be published on the websites of HOPS and CROPEX no later than three (3) working days before each auction in the Invitation to Auction.
- The Invitation to Auction will be published on the HOPS and CROPEX websites, and by sending an e-mail notification to all market participants.
- The day before the auction it is possible to test the CROPEX platform
- A participant who has submitted a valid Request to Participate, in order to be able to participate in a particular auction, must, no later than 2 hours before the auction, pay to CROPEX the appropriate amount of the Bid security for that individual auction
- After the auction with the selected bidder(s), HOPS will conclude an Agreement(s) on purchase of electricity to cover transmission losses
